Mikasa's definitely listening to the explanation, but her eyes constantly return to the scattered coffins and pools of blood. She doesn't understand it, but given the blood and the weapons Junpei has with him, it's safe to assume that someone--perhaps something--takes advantage of the imprisoned people. Whatever it is may even hunt down those outside of the coffins. Chances are whatever it is isn't picky.

Mikasa is tense through the walk, alert, waiting for something to jump out at them. "By deal with it, I assume you mean 'learn to hunt what lurks at this time'." That seems to be the most direct answer, the one that her instincts are telling her. she's gonna need something to defend herself with, even though very little is in sight.

While she should question how any of this works, she saw the coffins form up before Junpei appeared. There may be merit to his explanation. The girl pauses, quickly turning her head down a dark alleyway. She could've sworn she saw something moving down there, but she can't tell what. Thinking about it's only gonna make things worse.

The girl shakes her head and tugs on her scarf, picking up the pace. "How long has this been happening?"
