The Final Boss Meme

It's been a long road. Your adventure, your journey is finally coming to an end. But, before that, you just have one more thing to wrap up. Before that, you need to defeat the Big Bad; the final boss. Only after they're defeated can you clearly say that you've won, and your journey can FINALLY be finished.

How to Play:
1) Post, you know this part of the drill.
2) Either the poster or the replier may be the final boss! It's up to you.
3) Final Round! Ready? Fight!

And if you need it, here's some scenarios for you:

1) The leader stands alone: You've overcome every obstacle your foe has thrown at you. You've cut down all of their resources and defeated all of their allies. There's no more taunts as they escape and leave you to their minions, no more hiding behind things and no more running away. Despite that, the enemy is still convinced they've won since you've spent so much energy working your way here. Your efforts will mean nothing if you fall here, so give it all you've got! This is where it begins...and this is where it ends. In other words, this is a general final boss scenario, if you want something simple.

2) Which of us is the real strongest fighter?: You and your partner went through Hell and back on this journey (perhaps literally so!), but after a draining journey, the main conflict is resolved, the big bad is done away with and the world is saved! Hooray! There's just one last question that needs to be answered: since the chances of you two being exactly even is slim to none, which of you is stronger? You did share a journey with each other, so you know each others' strengths and weaknesses. How will you two handle being on opposite sides when you spent so much time on the same?

3) You were my friend! I trusted you! Similar to the second scenario, but it turns out one of you is planning to take the big bad's place, essentially placing your journey back at the beginning. Intentions may be good or bad, but either way, this is where you two draw the line. You may disagree here, but can either of you bring yourselves to striking down your former ally?

4) I'm saving you from yourself, even if you can't see it: Your journey has brought you to someone you hold dear. Perhaps the final enemy has been struck down or a great calamity is about to befall the earth. Maybe your friend is about to sacrifice himself (or herself) to ensure the fallen enemy can never stand back up or to prevent the calamity from happening. Maybe they don't realize that their efforts to prevent a catastrophe will end up triggering it. Either way, if they go through with it, you'll never see them again. You're convinced that there's another solution, one that won't take your friend's life in the process. You may actually know of one or you may simply be clinging to hope in a time of need, but that won't stop you from saving your friend. The problem is: both of you are determined to protect your friends, loved ones and everyone in between...but who's the hero and who's the boss?

5) The strongest enemy lies within...: You've toppled over everything the enemy has thrown your way, leaving them convinced that the only thing capable of stopping you is yourself. Their final effort to stop you is to somehow pit you against yourself and bring about your own destruction. It may be a battle in your mind or soul. It may be a projection of who you are or someone close to you, but that shadowy figure looks Hell bent on bringing you down. They may be capable of speech, but talking them down is incredibly unlikely. Whatever your choice, you're going to have to confront yourself if you want to bring this journey to an end...

6) I don't care what your story is; I'm going to stop you! The "make up your own prompt" option, where you can do exactly that!

And if you want to spice things up a little, the following are ways you can go about having your final battle. This part is completely optional and up to you:

1) Platforming Boss:- All your running and jumping skills have really paid off! You've even probably done some puzzle solving and have powered up quite a bit. But now, you have to be exhausted. One life left, no continues, but on the bright side, you have a full life bar. Unfortunately, here comes the final boss of the game! Maybe they take 8 hits, or 10 hits, but either way, get ready for the end!
2) Adventure Boss:- An epic adventure, but there's just one thing standing between you and your treasure or your goal. Maybe it's a rival of yours, or the evil enemy you've been trying to keep from getting there first.
3) Fighting Game Boss:- After fighting seven other people and even a midboss, you're now staring down the final fight. The guy at the top of the tournament. The boss in charge. Are they an SNK boss? An MK Walker? THEY HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR YOU
4) RPG Boss:- You know how at the end of a lot of RPGs you and the end boss just have a one on one epic LIMIT BREAK VS. LIMIT BREAK MOST POWERFUL MOVE VS. MOST POWERFUL MOVE battle? Yeah, that's what this is. No, you don't get EXP for winning this one.
5) Puzzle Boss:- Someone's been threatening your land and you're finally confronting them. How are you going to stop them? A good ol' game of Tetris. Or maybe something else. Whatever floats your boat.
6) Monster Battlin' Boss:- No, you weren't the one who fought their way here. Be it a team of Pokemon, or monsters you've been able to summon, you and this boss aren't going to fight directly. Instead, you're going to command your monsters to the final showdown between you and them. Can you two (or more) pull it off?
7) Bullet Hell Boss: Just like Touhou and CAVE shooters, all of your attacks translate into waves of bullets to hurl at your enemy. You and your enemy will have to dodge each others' bullets while trying to shoot each other out of the sky.
8) Diplomacy Boss: Words can be just as effective a weapon as any sword or spell. Sometimes, all it takes is a heartfelt exchange of words to bring down an enemy, even a final one! Maybe you can actually talk your way through this most intense of standoffs...
9) Misc. Boss:- The finals of a card game tournament? Maybe the final game of 1 on 1 basketball to save the rec center? The World Champion Boxer/Wrestler? A huge robot that you have to go through an obstacle course to fight in only a truck? Something else I may have forgotten? There's only one way to win, and it's to go at it head on. So get to it.
